Intermediary Organizational Activities

CORAL is providing a variety of local intermediary functions through the provision of direct and indirect services as a non-profit organization that focuses on after school programs and Supplemental Educational Services (SES). CORAL engages, convenes, and supports critical constituencies; promotes quality standards and accountability; brokers and leverages resources; and promotes effective policies.  As an intermediary organization, CORAL brings together local communities and their leadership around an intentional agenda, promotes broad public participation, accelerates learning and improvement, and focuses attention and resources on the achievement of tangible results. CORAL makes it easier for partners to come together, learn together, and jointly be accountable for the well being of children, families, and communities.

  • CORAL brings together diverse constituencies to increase public involvement, launch new initiatives, strengthen local institutions, and achieve tangible results;

  • CORAL assists service providers to identify standards for assessing service quality and use data more effectively to promote positive outcomes and continuous program improvements;

  • CORAL brokers and leverages a wide range of resources on behalf of their constituents helping to increase the efficiency and impact of service providers, and to attract resources that individual organizations often cannot secure on their own; and
  • CORAL educates elected officials, funders, and policy makers about specific policies and investments that can strengthen local service organizations and promote more effective services for young people and families.
