After School Program Operation and Management
CORAL helps schools, school districts, and community based organizations plan, create, and evaluate after school programs.
A. Program Improvement: CORAL will trouble shoot after school programs experiencing problems such as: low enrollment, quality control, staff retention and other program and organizational issues. CORAL will customize detailed program improvement plans based on individual site needs to support local after school programs. A Technical Assistance Team will then conduct on site observations and submit detailed recommendations for program improvement (see coaching).
B. Program Site Management: An after school site coordinator will manage and operate your program in cooperation with your existing staff. This option includes program development and improvement with the site coordinator providing staff with professional development and coaching. Development of employee handbooks, student/parent handbooks, program guidebooks, program policies and procedures guidebooks and training manuals can also be personalized or customized.
C. After School Program Operation: CORAL will staff and operate your after school program using a proven, successful, research based model, that includes: One site coordinator, team leaders (a student to team leader ratio of twenty to one is recommended), supplies, materials, curriculum, and human resource support. The cost for program facilities is not included. A program year is 10 months and 170 to180 program days.
D. Customized Services: CORAL will customize any combination of services and trainings to fit a school or district’s needs. The cost of this option will vary as to what is selected, the length of time for services, and the number of staff needed to provide the services selected. |
