ASES Grant Award List Re-posted
1/5/2007 - The California Department of Education (CDE) has re-verified all data and proposed awards related to the current round of After School Education and Safety (ASES) program Universal Grant funding and re- posted a revised preliminary list of awards. Please note that until CDE posts the final notification list, no grant awards posted on the proposed list should be considered final. The CDE has reserved a portion of the available funds in order to make grant awards to applicants with successful appeals. If funding remains available after all successful appeals are awarded, the CDE will allocate those funds to other schools, according to the priority process described in the Request for Applications (RFA). All ASES program timelines, including appeals, have been adjusted accordingly, consistent with the time delay in posting. The program start date for prorating purposes will be early in February. Additionally, the CDE will post an explanation of the funding process, a description of the appeals process, and the criteria for determining whether your situation is appropriate for an appeal.
